SaveVex Mobile App Coming Soon — AI-Powered File Processing on the Go

I built SaveVex with a simple idea: everyone deserves access to powerful file processing tools without paying a cent or sacrificing their privacy. Over the past year, that idea has grown into a toolkit with over 60 tools, used by people in more than 120 countries — all running entirely in the browser. But I always knew the browser was just the beginning. Today, I'm excited to share what comes next.

We're building the SaveVex Mobile App — a native experience for iOS and Android that brings every SaveVex tool to your phone, along with a suite of AI-powered creative features that push far beyond what a browser can do. It's the same commitment to privacy and zero-cost access, now in your pocket.

What to Expect

The mobile app will include every tool you already use on SaveVex — PDF compression, image conversion, video trimming, document editing, text formatting, and all 60+ other tools — rebuilt for touch and optimized for mobile workflows. But the real leap forward is the AI.

AI Video Generation

Imagine typing a short description — "a drone shot of a coastline at sunset with gentle waves" — and watching it become a video clip. The app will include on-device AI video generation that creates short videos from text prompts or reference images. Whether you need b-roll for a presentation, a quick social media clip, or just want to experiment with creative ideas, the AI video tool makes it possible without any editing skills.

AI Image Generation

Need a custom illustration for a blog post? A product mockup for a client pitch? A unique background for your phone? The AI image generator creates high-quality images from text descriptions, right on your device. No subscriptions, no credit systems, no waiting in a queue on someone else's server. Describe what you want and the image appears.

AI Cartoon Maker

This is the feature I'm personally most excited about. Take any photo — a selfie, a picture of your dog, a group shot with friends — and transform it into a cartoon or avatar style with a single tap. It's fun, it's creative, and it produces genuinely impressive results. We've been testing this internally and the team has been using it for everything from profile pictures to birthday cards.

All Existing Tools, Now Mobile

Every tool on SaveVex today — PDF merge, image compression, video trimming, audio conversion, Word-to-PDF, JSON formatting, QR code generation, and everything else — will be available in the mobile app. But they'll be redesigned for how you actually use a phone: capture a photo of a document and convert it to PDF directly, trim a video you just recorded, compress images before sharing them in a messaging app. The tools adapt to the device, not the other way around.

Privacy That Travels With You

Everything I just described — the AI features, the file processing, the creative tools — runs on your device. This is the hard part from an engineering perspective, and it's the reason we're taking our time to get it right. Running AI models locally on a phone is technically demanding. It requires optimization, compression, and careful engineering to get good performance without draining your battery or overheating your device. But the alternative — sending your photos, videos, and prompts to a cloud server — is a privacy trade-off I'm not willing to make.

When the app launches, you'll be able to generate videos, create images, process PDFs, and convert files entirely offline. No account required. No data collection. No server processing. The same privacy guarantee that SaveVex users trust on the web, extended to mobile.

Why Mobile?

The way people work with files has changed. Students edit assignments on their phones. Content creators film, edit, and post entirely from mobile devices. Professionals review PDFs and sign documents on the go. File processing shouldn't require sitting down at a laptop.

Mobile also unlocks capabilities that a browser can't match. Direct camera access means you can capture a document and convert it to a searchable PDF in one flow. On-device AI means image generation and video creation happen instantly, without the latency of a round trip to a server. And offline access means you can process files on a plane, in a basement, or anywhere without a reliable connection.

Coming Soon

We're deep in development on the mobile app and targeting an initial release in the coming months. It's the biggest engineering effort we've undertaken since SaveVex launched, and we're building it the same way we've built everything else: carefully, deliberately, and with privacy at the center.
